Portal Life

I have always enjoyed the classic flash tattoo knows as “the portal” or stairway to nowhere/heaven/hell/etc… I plan to get one someday once I decide where. There are many incarnations of this idea within the tattoo world - give it a search if you are interested.

Everyone needs a little escapism these days and what better way than through a portal? Portals can instantly transport you wherever you would like to go without the hassle of travel. So I decided to recreate the moment in glass. The above picture is an example of my point of departure and then the portals began to take on their own forms from there. Some of the fused glass portals I have made are below and more are in the works.
